4. NFTs, Wallets, and Transfers
4.1 Alpha Phase (Current Stage)
During the alpha release:
All Observation Certificates stored as NFTs are minted and held by a company-managed blockchain wallet.
Users do not connect personal wallets or handle blockchain transactions at this stage.
NFT functionality is used internally to validate the process of issuing verifiable observation records.
4.2 Beta and Full Release
In future releases:
Users will be able to connect a company or personal wallet to receive NFT-based observation certificates.
NFTs will be minted directly to or transferred from the company wallet to the connected wallet upon request.
Transfers will be initiated by the user and confirmed via in-app verification steps, with standard blockchain transaction fees ("gas fees") applying where relevant.
4.3 Blockchain Transparency and Data Privacy
Immutable Records: Blockchain entries are permanent and cannot be deleted or altered.
Public Visibility: Wallet addresses and transaction data are public on the blockchain; however, personal or sensitive information is never stored on-chain.
Off-Chain Storage: Detailed observation data and personal identifiers are securely stored off-chain and linked by unique cryptographic references.
User Responsibility: When wallet connection or transfer features become available, users will be responsible for managing and securing their private keys.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data based on:
Consent: When you provide data voluntarily or participate in alpha testing.
Legitimate Interests: For improving, testing, and securing the App.
Legal Obligations: Where retention or disclosure is required by law.
